Icons: Melissa Auf Der Mere

Melissa Auf Der La Mere is probably best known for being the clean one in  Hole from Celebrity Skin and onwards, replacing guitarist Kirsten Pfaff after her untimely death from a 'heroine' overdose.

Melissa has the same vaguely curly red hair as I have but with the sheen and lack of frizz which I'm convinced is only possible for celebrities.

This cream lace works as her vivid red head lends itself to this kind of romantic lace dress and makes up for the lack of colour in the outfit.

The twisted hairstyle gives off the natural hippy vibe which works so well on redheads.  This is a good style for festivals when you want to keep sweaty hair off your face but dont want to scrape it up in to a frizzy and unflattering bun. It makes the most of unruly waves.

Tired of being a ginge?

As a lifelong red head I think it's time that natural red hair is celebrated rather than ridiculed or emulated. Here I will be focussing on finding clothes and looks which will suit red hair.
